    The plot thickens....a 2.2litre AU 3rd gen???

Tonight ive been doing some price researching on
    www.carsales.com.au

Now from what I found, obviously the 3rd gen was available in aus in 1986. And were around to 1989.

1986 - 1988 only the LX and the Si were available.
Both 2.0l 1955cc, both availbe with either Carbi or EFI

Now the interesting part In 1989
Suddenly the EXi model becomes available
now according to this data, the 1989 EXi was
all EFI. BUT it had a 2.2L 2156CC engine. While
the 1989Si and the LX were both 1955cc 2.0

So that means the SE-i or the DX were never availble to Australia.
However interestingly though, according (no pun) the Si was the lower end model in australia. Though the Si has full power options, and rear wheel disc brakes, sunroofs, etc.

So if it's true? that means there are 2.2 3rd Gens in Australia. However I doubt the accuracy of that website, something smells wrong.

The 1989 Accord, in Japan, was the 4th gen Accord. It is possible that is what you were seeing. They have a 2.2liter engine.

I have seen EXi around here though
    and according to that site
EXi's were only available in 1989.

Im trying to find the other car website, it was
australian one and it had more details in the car
research section. I cant remmeber the url.
BUT, I remember a thing about the
3rd gen EXi's have more HP or KW than the Si's

Yeah, its gotta be a 4th gen with an f22. You guys down under get the cars when they come out in japan unlike us in the states who get them a year later. Take a look to see if you can find any 85 3rd gens.

^^^ Probably, but still. Ive seen EXi's around. And like I was saying, according to that data they had bigger motors and were only available in 1989. Meaning I should have to find an EXi and see if I can pop the hood.

Si's are as common as, around here. DX's don't exist.

There aren't enough Accords around here!

There are heaps of Preludes though.

Meaning finding wrecks, parts and people who own them can be
    a pain in the ass.

I'd love to find an Si wreck with the B20....I know their out there. I know one guy with one.

Actually I am wondering, what does Si stand for?

Well I finally saw a 3rd gen today....and interestingly enough, it was all power optioned, no sun roof...it had all it's badges in order, the H's, the accords...etc....but

it didn't have any other badges, saying things like Si, LX, etc.

Which is interesting, since it's not the first ive seen like it.
