    A20a4

what is this engine all about? i have one in my shed with around 70000km and until a month ago it was filled up with synthetic oil to keep it from seizing but that was all drained when i transported it. I was thinking of putting it in my car but the actual car is rotting away and i dont know if it would be worth the hassle since the job would have to be done in the cold weather and how long would that take? my current engine is almost finished but i think the clutch will go on me before the engine so im thinking does anyone want to buy this off me? i live in Toronto Ontario.
I might part off my entire car if the prices are right alot of stuff is new or in good condition
cops like pulling me over, or does my car actually look this bad?

    Re: A20a4

its the same thing as a a20a3...the only diference is the ECU because it does not use the O2 sensors or the EGR thus making more power....if i remember right it makes 2 more hp than the a20a3

It's not excactly the same. The A20A4 has a better compression ratio and they all have a 4-2-1 exhaust. A20A4 engines put out 122hp.

    I know, that's why I said ALL A20A4 engines have a 4-2-1 header.

    Re: A20a4

bout 2 years ago honda nz actually had a brand new b20a, in a crate up the mount somewhere.
    zero kays, never even started
and get this, was $750 with 20,000 k warranty if you put a new timing belt on it.
didnt have the cash at the time
rang them a while back and i missed it by a week
the cool thing is, honda would have changed the info of computer so numbers would match in they're data base
if you were down the main land i'd buy a spare black top off ya

    Re: A20a4

i basicly want to know if its worth putting in my car as i am doing the clutch possibly on saturday i have a feeling if i leave it another week i will get stranded somewere. my car has a a20a3 in it right now and i was wondering will the swap be hard? should i break the engine down and replace all the gaskets or leave them all the way they are. the reason for the engine swap is that the a3 has over 300000km and the a4 only has like 60000km and since i will be pulling half that shit anyway to do the clutch pad why not take another 8 hours to do the whole thing. BUT there will be problems BUT i do have a 98 suburban to drive to work incase the car shows my some more problems.
AND what about all that other jazz like the old plugs, injectors, wires and old shit i would need to replace at some point should i do it right away and about how much would this cost me as the car is probably going to rot away from the winter this year.

I still have a fucking retarded starting problem it doesnt crank sometimes at all and the relay was replaced a week ago from honda dealer 100$.
cops like pulling me over, or does my car actually look this bad?
