    Question AirIntake

    Ok otday when i got my car i got bored and decided to put Real! Cold Air Intake on my carb4 i just had the blackbox on and the old tubinbg with a cone air filter on the end .....Anyway... Im Going to buy the Civic pipe tomorow i think its 40$ what all do i need to do and do i need a breather? and do i have to cut the pipe for the civic or can i just leave it?

    yeah im confused on where the hoses go to on my 92 civic short ram intake. a little help would be great.
    ACT Stage 1, Short Ram Intake & 2.25 Dynomax custom catback w/4inch carbon fiber tip. Thats it for now.

    What your describing isn't a real cold air pipe, it's a short ram intake pipe. To be a real cold air pipe I has to draw it's cold air from inside the fender or just a few inches off the ground. Other wise it's going to draw the warm air that's in the engine bay. No matter what it'll be less restrictive than stock. Eveyone that I've seen use's the civic short ram intake, does have to cut a few inches off it, which should be easy with a fresh hack saw blade.

    i dont have anything to cut it with that why i asked about it being ok with out cutting it

    I'm pretty sure you can get a hack saw from wal-mart for about $5 if you do have to cut it.

    well i didnt have to cut it i told my mom and she just said let me see it and shoved the pipe pretty far in there and it works perfectly fine allthough i dont think she should have doen that cuz it'll be a bitch to get off
