    Cool This Site Rocks

Hello im a noob... my name is Joe i just got a 88 Accord on Fri for $250, so far i spent about 80 on tune up parts . I did remove most of the vac. lines. now my only leak is the intake manifold gasket .. how hard is that ? .. the valves and timing are good .. but the fuel cut off valve dosent work so it runs a little after i turn off the key.. so it idles weird , thats because of the leaky gasket? ... oh this is my first water cooled motor .. Im a VW AirHead ..

The carby A20A1 engines run off the wall with any vacuum line removed. Probably do good with that 38/38 weber set-up with the 4th stage vacuum removal. You'll have fun getting to the intake bolts on the bottom.

lol the carb engines are possessed even with all the spaghetti plumbed right. wait until you are sitting at a light and the engine starts revving itself up one day. you'll think it's got a gremlin(which it probably does, they live in that black box)

thats sweet "side drafts" .. thanks for the ideas..... so the bottom bolts are going to suck.. thats ok it needs to be done .. better to do it right the first time, right. I did the remove all the emissions stuff ie the black box,the cat,egr and the air pulse thing, every thing not needed. no ac or cruise ...

    Re: This Site Rocks

you wont get anywhere near 10:1 on just milling the head...even if you milled the block and head you might be able to bump up compression to like 9.5
