I was wondering what someone might pay for a used set of the placeracing mounts. Im talking to a guy that had them about a month ago and im trying to figure out if he still has them. If he does how much would i be able to sell them for? I think he also has a custom made shift linkage to go with it.
Well scratch that last post, i just got off the phone with the guy and he said he still has them, and he has a custom setup to run a hydralic tranny and a piece to convert it back to stock to use with a regular setup. He said that one of the bushings are a little worn and should be replaced soon but it never effected the car. He doesnt have the shift linkage anymore though. And he also has a custom wiring harness to convert from obd2 to obd1. He also has an exhaust and a C/F hood. He is sending me pics of everything he has later tonight.

shiiiiiiiiiiiit. get those mounts, get them copied asap.
My friend went to PIT for cad design and he actually had to design motor mounts for a project. I know he would be willing to try and duplicate them. If not ill look around and see what it will cost to have them done.Originally Posted by snoopyloopy

I would also be down with a set of those mounts, maybe a few, i know theres alot of people lookin... lol, also...by the looks of those photos of the mounts....if I had a welder I could so make some of those...haha, just dont have a welder avaliable, just moved recently... the only hard part would be positioning the engine properly n such...I should be picking up a welder sometime within the next few months.....

There is talk about a set for sale right now, I forget which thread.. But the first bid was $500.
Personally I think thats pretty steep...Considering I can get a JDM Motor 'N' Tranny for like $1500-2000.
What would be an appropriate price? I was thinkin like $200-300???
If not, I'll weld up some of my own....

Well im selling the originals, not enough demand for copies and people dont want to pay the price for them to be made. Im looking to get $500, i have had people interested and no one has come through with payment so the first one to send me a payment wil get them.

mounts with poly bushings. The axels are fairly easy peice together, legend master knows how to do it and he posted it somewhere. As far as the wiring harness goes, its like doing a obd1 swap.
To answer your questions Messy:
Mounts: Yes
Axels: No
Harness: No
$500 OBO for JUST the mounts.
Beware of the symptoms of 3g-itis..brokeness, unrealistic goals, relentless complaining, and ultimately the delay or total lack of progress..
3g-itis is also contagious, so watch out, people..
$500 for mounts isn't too bad, considering.
