So, I kinda hate you, because

    I like your car

    a lot

    and I hate hatches.

    God damned white hatches! <3

Having the same (original) wheels as me helped a bit, though.

It's a "jdm" lip, I luckily found it in my local yard a few years back.. It's my favorite style so I am constantly keeping an eye out whenever I go back.

    Re: 87roach's 1987 S Hatch Build

Well, for a long time it has been very quiet in my shop.. sometimes I would use the iphone for music but it would be annoying to change song's with greasy hands, etc.

So my good buddy offered me his deck for free and I was thinking of putting it in my no-stereo car. Well, I figured I could deal with it for a bit longer and install the deck into the shop!

After deciding where to put it, what would be easy to access, and take the least damage I figured instead of hanging it in some stupid place I'll just mount it in the bench!

I had a few chargers laying around from when I was toying with R/C car's and found one with enough power to run the deck.

The only thing I actually bought were the 4 alpine 5"x7" speakers from pick n pull at 8$ each(boo-yah), also got some speaker wire from there and had more laying around.. I just pieced it all together with help from friends. There was a lot of wire used to go to each corner of the shop.

Work's great for the price! runs the ipod but no cd's or radio.. which is really all I want anyway.

You should look into the portable xm radio thing. We have one in our garage and a few bose speakers that we just set up, no extra work needed just plug n play, also no commercials, and the speakers have an in for ipods and shit

Yea man it's sweet huh? haha

I've got an old xm unit from my friend for free, so I may look at installing that in the future.

It's really very easy for me to just walk into the house and put more/different music on the ipod/iphone though so.. I doubt I will want to pay for the radio. Considering I payed a grand total of under 40$ I think it turned out well

Ye, and on 800 mA. P=UxI 7,2x0,8=5,76 Watt max. Thats not mutch.
Don't think this power supply wil have a long life.

If you put the speakers in boxes the sound of the bass wil improve a lot.

I think most wattage is overrated anyways. Most of your listening is done on something like less than 1 watt.

    I hate the radio too!

    I appreciate the comments.

When we tested the charger with the multimeter it read around 13v, which was a better option then the 18v one(other one I had). Speaker boxes might be a future project, it would make thing's a bit cleaner. I am just glad to have something to listen to right now haha.

I can fabricate parts for people. It just seems like there hasn't been a whole lot of interest lately. Probably not lower control arms, but strut bars, and carb intake manifolds shouldn't be too hard.
