how well does paint on brakes, calipers, rotors hold up?

so I want to paint my brakes, not sure what color. Im wondering if the rattlecan stuff made for brakes holds up to pressure washes, cleaning and the abuse a normal car gets over time. Let me know if I should pull it all the way down for podwer or just paint. Also my car is monterey green metallic coupe, dropped on some black/polished lip rims. What color should I go for? Mike

I used the brush on paint by Duplicolor, I've had it on there for about 8 months with no problems or fading.
I used the same on my Escape when I had it, and it lasted over 3years with no problems

I painted my rear calipers with regular paint and lots of prepping, cleaning, etc. They've been holding up for just about a year now with no problems. I just recently painted my front calipers, with hardly any prepping, knowing I'm upgrading to bigger calipers. Basically, I just got a rag, soaked it with acetone, wiped briefly, and then got the Duplicolor caliper paint in the rattle can. I masked everything off and just sprayed them right on the car. Turned out very nice, and has been holding up well. I usually wash them to keep them shiny red while I'm washing the car, and theres been no peely flakeyness at all.

i also used the duplicolor caliper paint kit. i used the one that is applied with a brush. the spray can looks a little iffy because you should take the caliper off the car and tape everything up carefully. anyways, i did my accord's calipers in the red. went on easy and dried fairly quickly. now it did chip on the edges in a few spots, but that was because i nicked it with the wheel when i was taking them off. but, it was easily touched up. when touching them up i lightly sanded the area, cleaned with rubbing alcohol and then gave it a few coats in the spot that was chipped. after that you really cant tell. this paint does very well for not absorbing brake dust, unlike other high heat paints i've used. i usually just clean them when i'm washing the car by hand. they are going to get a little dirty, but are fairly easy to clean up. just dont use engine paint, it seems to absorb the brake dust.
