    Re: AccordB20A's 2.0Si F1 Edition Build

    cheers,

the engine builders found out what the knock in my engine was, the bore is too large for thwe piston. failure. the block had been honed three times due to the other company i used not contacting me to let me pick it up so the bores rusted a few times

Im gunna grab another block and take it in for them to measure and see if i can use the pistons in it, otherwise its for sale P30 pistons on b20a rods

Man This Build Looks Awesome, I'm Hoping To Do The Same Sorta Thing With A Few More Showy Things In There, But This Threads Helped Me A Ton
    Buy It,
    Drive It,
    Bore It,
    Build It,
    Race It,
    Re-Build It.

    Re: AccordB20A's 2.0Si F1 Edition Build

right i have failed my wof safety check. it failed on both rear upper arms, split pins in lower ball joints, rear brake pads, rust around boot catch and exhaust leak.

Ive put new brake pads on and new upper rear arms and fixed the exhaust. but the problem i have is the whole area around the boot catch is rusted out and needs replacing.

So i bought a parts car. 1988 honda accord vigor. grey, b20a, auto tidy apart from a bit of rust n the bootlid above the lights

No pics yet but ill take pics as i repair my car

    Re: AccordB20A's 2.0Si F1 Edition Build

right parts car (whats left of it)
This weekend we removed the engine and box front suspension etc etc and i took it home in the back of the CRX, Today i stripped out the climate control/power steering/air conditioner/cruise control and its all sitting in my shed.

the plan is to reconstruct my accord back to how it was factory. Now i have a cute little baby girl i want something comfy we can all ride in and this cars gunna be it. in 6 months time when the road safety check runs out ill be taking the car off the road for another rebuild.

Ill be reinstalling the power steering, Cruise Control and air conditioner for summer.

Heres some pics of the car being wrecked:

right the motor had a massive coolant leak, im lucky i spotted it before i put the engine in. the rear engine water pipe where the o-ring is where it goes into the water pump was completely rusted away in there so i swapped it with a good one i had.

Then i bolted the clutch and gearbox on and dropped it in the hole.

    Re: AccordB20A's 2.0Si F1 Edition Build

Right, The Next Step. The heater doesnt blow hot for some reason, the heater core is 3/4 blocked i think. so pretty much i swapped the whole climate control from the parts car into it. While everything was out i removed the whole cars wiring loom and replaced it with the unmolested one out of the parts car.

So i pulled my whole car apart!

pile of no longer needed front end parts. the parts cars mint guards and bumper will be going on.

and this is seriously GAY. windscreen rust!

Almost time for a new chassis
