    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

okay i got another engine mod to install but i am going to have to do a bit of modification and slot the holes and port one of the middle exhaust ports to fit. Factory JDM h22a extractors. only the top half. i have test fitted and making them work will be easy. And also later on modifying them looks easy to (changing the runner lengths to tune the powerband) They also weigh half what the factory b20a cast exhaust manifold weighs. This is what ill work on and ill upload more pics during the install and after its installed.

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

Decided i wanted new sparkplug leads today so i priced them and they were $60 for a set and that was from a special discount from my mate at an auto parts store. I decided to pull apart the 19 year old OEM b20a dohc leads and buy the wire and ends i needed and use the stock sparkplug end rubber bits. For $30 i managed to get a brand new OEM-Ish looking set of leads....

    Ouch,

Never install a head without at least changing the seals. (or check them) It's cheap to replace once it's out of the car.

Is you old head still in decent shape? Get this one rebuild and put it back on the engine.

must be nice to run down to the corner and get a b20a head gasket
I have seen these factory headers in the JY, I think on 4th gen F motors, I wonder how far off those flanges are from B20a... that one you got, man those are some huge wide ass flanges..

Make sure the piston is at the top when you do this... just in case the valve drops in the cylinder hahaha.

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

i went for a warrant of fitness. Failed on rust under my tail light (that i knew was there) left rear tyre was an odd size (185 65 r14 not 185 60 r14 like the rest) also my right front lower ball joint has like 10mm of play so im going to fix those up and sort that so i can drive legally.

OH and i installed the correct number plates on my car. no more RP5476 plates my car is not DRE96

and i think my camera has given up on me so i cant take pics anymore until my birthday (hopes)

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

Rust under the tail light? How the fuck is that dangerous? The NZ WOF is completely retarded. I've never heard of a car crash or a person dying to due something rusting and falling apart on a car.
