well i managed to get the exhaust put back on, got tired of fumes entering the car so i had this fart pipe lieing around and we welded it on, Sound not too bad too.

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

i swore loudly yesterday as i went to install my towbar only to find my exhaust fails it damnit. had to tow with the lude instead. Sooner i get a decent exhaust the better, there that aerodeck in the junkyard, its a NZ new i think so it should have a good exhaust system without a cat, that would be a good one to steal, ill use a 2.0Si twin pipe rear muffler too FTW no more fart.

Car's looking good despite the fart can. It's not the worst I've seen. Looks like you fixed everything else up real nice too!

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

a mate gave me a link to an auction that had a couple of front brake lines for $10NZD, they said they bought them for their integra but they didnt fit but the looked the same as accord ones,

succeed, I compared them with an old one i had and they appear to be the same (ish) win, they cost like $40 each for new lines over here.

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

    FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

    Very long day!!!111

went to auckland today (400km there 400km back) to pick up a shitty little automatic 1300cc hondamatic 3g civic, went to all the pick a parts etc etc ANYWAYS just on the way home as we went to turn down the road to go to get petrol i accellerate to 3k rpm in 1st and gently select second and let the clutch out and CRUNCHHHHHHHHHHH. lots and lots of bad noises, and no more drive to the wheels, FUCKFUCK i thought , my gear selector was hard to use and i knew exactly what had blown. So yeah ANOTHER b20a gearbox bites the dust, Then to piss me off more, i was 300km from home and all we had was this shitty 1300 hondamatic a tie down strop and the gas that was in my car. we stphoned my gas out and put it in the civic hooked up the tow strop and that little beats towed my accord 300km back home. Funny thing is, tomrorow (today) there will be another 300km from home mission, this time going down the island the other way to pick up a prelude so guess what i did when my mate dropped me and my car off at mums, replaced the gearbox!! Took like 2 and a bit hours and my cars all good as new again now running a f2k5 instead of the previous b2k5 it had in it.

    rock on mission tomorrowe!!!

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

a 1.5l automatic civic towing a accord that's towing a trailer? that would have been a laugh to see. or where yous using a a-frame? thats gay about breaking another gearbox, but at least you got a replacement one already in (Y)

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

Lol maybe you are right. But it could also be that it is supposed to relieve the stress on the exhaust pipe caused by the weight of the muffler because there is no exhaust hanger on the rear part of the rear muffler.
It looks a bit silly either way.

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

Another B20A gearbox dead eh? Maybe it's because you tow flatbed trailers with entire cars on them... Or the B20A gearbox is a piece of shit... Somehow I doubt it's a piece of shit gearbox.

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

all old honda boxes are POS's the diff's are weak as, the spider gear pin just snaps and it fucks the whole gearbox, it cant be alloy welded to be fixed as half the diff housing is gone, even the speedo drive is snapped

    Lucky for spare parts aye

wow didnt notice that your tranny crapped out. You're the only one who's ever had problems with b20a trannies, what the hell are you doing to them? lol
The scenario sounds rather amusing though. Cant believe you actually towed your car with a trailer behind it 300km with a strap and an itty bitty civic hahaha

    Re: AccordB20A's Vigor Update Thread

    bloody hell aaron!
buy a cheap pos falcon or commodore for towing man
those things are cheap as chips
well cheaper than replacing b2k5's all the time
whats the diff between that and an f2k5?
