With my H22 swap, everything was converted - including the rod shift linkage. Since it's now cable, I've only got a few options:
DC, Neuspeed, and e-bay offer short shift adapters for the cable linkage. Only problem is, I can't find a shift lever that will further decrease the length of the throws for a 92-96 lude. This adapter will reduce the throws by up to 30%. There are applications for other cars that offer the adapter plus the lever and will reduce throws by 30 and then another 50% with the addition of the lever. Like some of you already know, the Pacesetter Quik-Shift kit for our 3rd gens claims to reduce throws by up to 80%. The only thing I can do next to having a lever custom made is to chop the original in half. Anyone know otherwise?

well if I was doing it, I would buy the lexan at a local glass shop, commercial glass shop. I would then go to a sheet metal shop or either buy a small sheet metal brake from harbor frieght tools. If you know anybody in the HVAC biz they have access to sheet metal brakes for making duct work.
A lot of race car builders use lexan, and have people that do the shaping and cutting.
You could possibly shape it using stud boards and a vise but you may gouge it , lexan bends even past 90 degrees without any problems but it takes a good bit of presssue.. a brake does a nice job of it.
