where did you get the carbon fiber vinal bullard? that might look good at the tops of my doors. since the blue has faded. i'm just putting up the link for my hatch slideshow,i have a lot of my interior pics in it,and a lot of pictures of making various parts of the interior. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPO3qn32v2g
how much vinyl do u need to do all 4 doors?
1988 Honda Accord LX-i Coupe 123k miles.
2 yards should be more than enough
Edit: I meant to say 2 40yard rolls should be more tha enough

it takes a bit more to do the tops of the doors due to how you have to wrap the plastic part.
Sorry to hijack.
I need to redo my interior too. my door panels are cracked near where the seat belts go in, and neat the door vents. How hard is it to find non cracked door panels at the JY? Should I just get some fiberglass and repair it instead? Where can I even buy fiberglass? Or Carbon Fiber?
are you talking about the parts at the top of the door? just take it off the door panel it unscrews with a thousand screws at the back, strip the material off the plastic part, then repair as needed usually you can fix it from the back side. if you have to use fiberglass on the front, just sand it down good when you are done. then recover, it's tricky so be ready for frustration. lots of compound curves. it's a completly seperte plastic piece from the cardboard part.
yep. It's cracked at the top part. The part that's fiberglass covered in vinyl. Where can I buy fiberglass?
it's not fiberglass it's plastic. you can get a basic fiberglass kit at walmart or just about any auto parts store. once you strip the material off you can see what you need to do. then sand it down smooth before recovering. just takes some time, but they all crack there. mine required six repairs on one side alone.
damn that sucks. Both of my doors are like that. It's from people not pulling the seat belts all the way up when they get out of the car. I bust my friends asses for not pulling them up now.
once you fix it it will good as new. at least it's plastic on this car some cars have paper board there. when i did my headliner the only one i could find came apart in like 12 pieces,so i had to fiberglass it all back together before i covered it. it's in the video before and after and during.
less talk more pics![]()

hey bullard on that pannel on the bottom it looks like it need's some stretching.
get some good spray adhesive and start in the middleof the pannel and work you'r way out.
get a hair dryer or heat gun and heat up the ends where you have those creases and stretch it to the back of the pannel. you may have to cut slits in the material to stretch them out.
the top pannel is going to be more diffacult to cover.
More progress
