    Running lean

I've had this problem for sometime now car runs decent around town. But getting into it 2000rpms up it dies off struggling too get speed. The recent emission test I passed but had a question about my readings CO%= 0.01 limit 1.10
    HC%=116 limit 275
    NO%=3590 limit 3600
    At 1746 RPM
    14.4%Dilution.
Anything look High or wrong besides the NO% reading.
I,ve checked the timing it's in spec. EGR valve works correctly. Also, checked for vaccum leaks.

Any ideas? Oh my fuel pressure is 2.5psi at the pump and at the carb.Have not done the fuel capacity test for volume at 1 min.

The only thing I have not checked is compression and Air/Fuel set screw. Also,I still have the problem with the car dieing after the first start. But after the second attempt it starts and bobbles up too 2400rpm fast idle.Another problem. This just started.

Update, did a compression test. Here's the data.

#1 #2#3#4 all 135psi. No wonder it has a lack of power running lean. And occasionally smokes on warm up. Don't know why I waited so long mabey afraid too confirm my suspicions.
Just for referrence I think Minimum psi =142 and Max =171 according too the Haynes manual for what it's worth.

    Re: Running lean

The car has 206thousand miles. I might just do that but, I'm going too do another compression test just too ease my concious. I think the gauge is of slightly off. I'll use another gauge just too be sure. Also, I have too fix my choke heater.

    Re: Running lean

dirty fuel filter maybe? cause i had a problem similar to that, my car would spit and sputter and jerk, do all kinds of things.. and i changed all of my fuel filters, my distributor cap, and aloso my sparkplug and spark plug wires, and soon enough it was back to normal, so just some things to think about.. OH also i ran some sea foam to clean out my engine, so yeah some things to think about..
    one day I'll return.
