how do i remove outter cv joint

i am trying to install a stupid cv boot and its the outer one my dumb haynes manual really blows i got the hub nut off and now its saying to remove the damper fork and i read in another post that i might not even have to remove the whole axle. how do i get the axle to seperate from the cv joint so i can install my boot? I also have to clean the cv joint now that theres all sorts of sand on it damn this sucks.

I would take the knuckle off the LCM and the tie rod off the knuckle to get the axle out of the knuckle to work on it.
