best trans swap for 89 accord lxi

I dont care about top speed well i guess i do, I have to go at least 100 mph but i want to take the 1/4 with a nice touch.

I read in the thread some where before i was a member what the best tranny swap would be but i lost it i think its a 1 gen Acura but im not sure. Anyone have an ideal swap im in california uhhh and i cant really do much, so im trying to stick it to the man by doing hidden mods. Im thinking about swapping out my throttle body too i read in another post that a GSR TB would fit on my 89 accord lxi. I have to stay within the emissions limit, In the long term i want to make this thing a beast. I'm keeping the car until i die so investments into this car isnt a problem to me, If it was my way i would have dropped 20 gran into it already. I just dont want to loose the car to California state laws

trans swaps all matter for what exactly you want? if your going turbo you want longest gear ratios wich would be the DX/LX accord gears,
for a tiny bit faster ratios its the lx-i and se-i.... now you can start going hibrid. the 2g pprelude had even lowerer gearing then the lx-i/se-i... faster speed lower top speed. and finely you can go 1st gen integra gears (1-4 accord 5th) into the bellhouseing of the accords tranny for the fastest and lowest ratio but if your turbo or highly modded you will be in the red line and mostly shifting non stop or skiping gears.... but those are the order of trans options you have in a nut shell lol

oh, no im not going to boost because its illegal here in cali. Just want to have pull all the way through the 1/4. Going faster then 100 mph = my car getting taken away jail time and then going to the junkyard to watch the police crush the car. Thank you for the post I like the nut shell effect

Trying to send me a phishing email from paypal supposedly im talking to the customer service i dont want you to think im ignoring you. I just dont want to get ripped off about $550.00, Thats money that could go into my car

yeah i have the 1-4 teg gears and the accord 5th gear...and i love it...i also got a stage 3 clutch...but the only thing is that i cant rip it hard on 1st gear as it losses traction(nothing that wider tires cant fix)

I just did this swap so nice now im trying to replace a damn outer cv boot and im having problems already broke 6 breaker bars

1g teg 1-4 with a dx/lx 5th would probably be the best way. and you can smog your car in cali w/ a turbo. it just costs a bit more. you just can't get it past the state ref very easily with the turbo on it. get greddy stickers w/ a pn for honda and you might come off with a fix-it ticket. or, just don't get pulled over.
