Need help with motor

So I have an 87 lx...got it for free found another one at salvage and put the motor in mine. Well cannot get it to idle right at all. I am new to the 3g accord and carb. hondas in general. I am just using it as a daily until my teg is finished. It idles around 2k at first start then drops to about 600rpm afterwards trys to bog out when you hit the gas. Fuel mileage is horrible. No matter what I do to the idle it will not smooth out. So if there is a process I am not aware of somethings I may need to adjust or rebuild let me know. I know you guys know alot more on these cas than I do. I was suprised to pull the swap off, it was a little intimidating.haha any input would help. thanks

Check the float level, (glass window on the carb on the driver's side) and check for vacuum leaks.
