Small update on the Accord... Took it out about three weeks ago for a couple of days. After her second or third day out she started throwing codes and looks like a new distributor is needed.
I was just travelling for a few weeks but now that I am back in town I am hoping to get it back on the road soon.

is it a b series internal coil dizzy? they dont seem to be so reliable for some reason

I have gutted mine to take the heat out of the dizzy so fail doesnt happen to me. external coil and external ignitor (OEM accord items) should keep the heat at bay.
every single time i've seen a failed b or f series all in one distributor , its been caused by stuffed spark plugs.
usually will find hot spots on the outside of the coil, this is a weak spot that the ht voltage will jump out of if it cant jump the plug gap, eventually blows module as well.
Well no real updates here, but I haven't been on the forum forever.... Been super busy with school and life in general. Pretty much just drove the accord this summer and enjoyed it. It needs some love over the winter but for now it is time to hibernate.

Will do... Honestly there probably won't be anything until next summer. Maybe some maintenance items over the winter and get my Recaros put in the car.
I'm in my toughest year of schooling and need to keep my priorities straight. The car isn't going anywhere, but other things need my attention now before I put more money and time into my Accord.

Wow, it has been far too long since an update on this build... seeing as not much of anything has changed on the car I guess it makes sense, but that will soon change.
Posts with some much needed progress and improvements to the car coming soon!

Glad to see you still have the 3G, I usually lurk around the forum once in awhile and see how everybody is doing and who still has their rides...Cant wait to see what you have planned out
Wow Hash updating his thread and Pico responding!
Looking forward to the updates man!
Thanks Pico, I always enjoy seeing progress on your truck and the cutty on facebook.
Hahaha, so true.
Small update:
Stocked up on some parts this past week or so... Got my wheel bearings for the front hubs, they badly need replacing. Also picked up valve cover gasket so I can do a valve adjustment.
Made a good score at pick n pull this past weekend, although it was at the expense of putting out my back, so that has been painful all week. Picked up the following
- Shift boot (mine was trashed) & rubber shift boot (woo no more exhaust fumes)
- Drivers side door seal
- Headlight combo switch (getting tired of my headlights turning off on their own)
- 1g teg front lip (in decent shape)
- Odyssey front brake calipers and brackets for 11" front brake conversion
And lastly, I just ordered new Bridgestone Re-71R tires as my RE-11's are kind of bald.
I am also on the hunt for a new muffler and exhaust components... Almost picked up an RSR ex mag last week, but the tip was kind of beat up so I passed. If anyone knows of someone selling an RSR ex mag or Spoon n1 muffler for a decent price let me know!

Great choice on the tires. I have a set of them myself (205/50R15) and I love them.
Stoked for updates.

Turns out Bridgestone Canada sucks and they are on backorder until August across the country. So I went with Nitto NT05 for now.
Small updates...
My haul from pick n pull the other week plus a few misc. things.

Then I caved and bought some air tools and a compressor the other week... have always wanted some, but don't use them enough to justify the high cost. Also with my back being messed up the past few weeks this will hopefully help me get back to making some progress. Scored all of this for under $300 CDN.

Next, I found a used gen 1 Spoon N1 muffler. It's in pretty decent shape.

Hahahaha ah that was good
Lol thanks for the laugh guys... Yes they're 205s. Same size as my re11s were but I think they're slightly narrower and lighter. Re11s are a big tire.

Very cool
Last weekend finally got my front knuckles pulled off the car. Tried damn near everything to separate the lower ball joints without destroying them but had no luck, so replaced those too.
