When I gutted my interior, I saw two modules under the psgr seat:
The one that is circled was unplugged already. Anyone know what function that module has? It's in an 88 LXi. Thanks!

I believe one goes to your power windows and the other is for seat belts shit?
Isn't there one for the radiator fans as well?

Hmmm interesting. The guy I bought the car from said he had a friend try to put his exhaust in when he couldn't do it. He said the friend had to make a pipe to go before the cat, ironically this is the pipe that seperated tonight on me. He said ever since then the check engine light would come on intermittently. Are there supposed to be O2 sensors in the pipes somewhere? If there is, and the box is emissions related as you mentioned, perhaps that is why he had it unplugged.
This is where the break is:
The pipes after the cat are as follows:
I'm not seeing any wiring or sensors. Where would they be?
Thanks!

on my car it says its a solenoid control box (black box maybe?) and the other one is a door lock control box
The power door lock control unit is under the passenger's seat, according to my '89 manual (p. 25-48). You, apparently, don't have one. There is also the automatic seat belt control unit (p. 25-38). Finally, you have the fan timer unit (p. 25-111). My guess is that the one you've circled is your seat belt control. This probably just keeps all 50 seat belt related lights & sirens in the car from being a damned nuisance. (I unplugged most of mine). Of course, it could also keep your seatbelts from locking in an accident...
The module under the driver's seat is your PGM-FI ECU, (also p. 25-111).
O2 sensors are on the exhaust manifold...and they don't need to be changed every 60k miles like on zee German cars.![]()
so what is this "Control Unit. Solenoid" box for?
located under my drivers seat (your guys passenger seat)
One of the boxes should be the fan timer relay, other should be the door lock
2004-2011?
uh guys, hatchs don't have factory power door locks
Neither do the coupes. Which is ridiculous, really.
well you can use the aftermarket actuators pretty easy. i have a relay circuit up on my audiovox thread as to how to wire them. here http://www.partsexpress.com/resources/relays.html scroll down to the bottom of the page, the last door lock circuit. all you need is a single pole double throw switch with this, common terminal gets grounded, one side ground is lock other is unlock

they don't fit. the actuators attach to the ends of the latches inside of the doors, the latchs that keep the door closed, on cars with electric door locks theres a notch in the door beam for motor clearance. on the coupe and hatch it's not there. i already tried this, the motor just won't fit. best to use aftermarket ones. ok back on topic.....
IIRC, I saw a thread somewhere on here saying that trying to use OE actuators had some fitment problems and it was recommended to use aftermarket. I haven't tried, so I can't speak from experience. I plan to just pick up an aftermarket kit personally, then use the antenna switch in the console as the control for it.

i forgot about the power antenna switch, not sure if that setup would work with an alarm unless you added the relay circuit to it also. you could wire the relay circuit in parallel and use it to let the alarm also control them.
