    Pilot Bearing: Yay or Nay?

Do our 3gees have a pilot bearing? Seems like a straightforward question, yet the FSM, my haynes manual and this forum have failed to give me a straight answer.

I ask because I'm in the middle of a AT to MT swap and would like to know if I'm missing a part before I toss my 5 speed in.

There is no pilot bearing on any of the A series engines.

Haha! Our input shafts are supported by 2 bearings inside the tranny. We don't need pilot bearings to fail, wiping out our gear teeth. We have 5th gear that blows up automatically instead.
