throttle body question

I wanted to know if a throttle body from an 86-87 automatic accord LX-i will work on my 89 accord automatic LX-i?

Probably not without significant modification, they have different idle control systems.

i also think the bolt up pattern is different

i believe the bolt pattern is the same but the idle circuits are different from 86-87 and 88-89, afaik the only difference between 5 speed and auto is the bracket attached for the tv cable on the auto one. Other than that they are real close.

must be a USDM thing then. the JDM ones are different cause a18a tried swapping them cause the TPS had a different plug on the 88-89 and he needed to install one onto a 86-87 intake.

the tps plus may be different from 86-87 than 88-89
