    Quiet and Fuel Efficient?

I guess I have a different approach to my car. I like speed and all but at the same time I like to have a quiet and fuel efficient car.

Suspension and Coil springs from H&R w/ Koni or Tokico are what I have in mind for a smooth/quiet ride.

Do tires make a difference? If they do what kind of tires would you guys suggestion for a smoother ride?

Moving on, what can I do to my car to make it quiet? I like the feeling when I don't even know it's on. (Hence why I'm trying to fix the current problems I have under my hood in another threat I made)

I've seen that dynamat stuff, does anyone know if it really works or is it all lies? I want to put some under my hood and around the firewall so I can eliminate some noise from the engine.

Any suggestions about making the car quieter?

Fuel. Besides reducing weight/ removing A/C, what can I possibly do to improve MPG? Is there a way to tune the ECU so that the fuel injectors would shoot out less fuel? or ..? Gas prices is going up, I wouldn't mind sacrificing performance for efficiency these days.

So yeah, crazy concepts I guess since usually everyone wants to go faster and all. :P This car is a DD in a city, city of LA meaning I have to do all this while passing those smog tests.

    Re: Quiet and Fuel Efficient?

about the dynamat... That stuff Does work my buddy has it in his trunk for his subs.. But the downfall is Its really expnsive and i dont think it can hold high temps like under your hood or your bulk head. im pretty sure its ment for Inside the car.
and on keeping the car quiet, The Bone stock Lxi with the stock air box and the stock exhaust is acutally pretty quiet i think, if u do have the stock airbox put a K&N air filter in it.
plus the car its self is pretty good on gas... i get 340ish miles to the tank drivin it like a race car. but i hit around 450 miles to the tank when i drove it with out redlineing excessive reving ect...
and the a/c compressor..I'd leave it.. Especialy seeing that u live in CA. and if u take it out i dont think there will be much of a mpg increase.

IDK thos are my thoughts man.
