    Budget speaker amp solutions?

    Hey everyone,

I recently replaced my deck with an Alpine CDE 9881 and would like to upgrade my speakers. I am looking at getting four Infinity References (6.5 shallow/6x9) but I noticed the 6.5" ones are 2ohm. So I will be going with an external amp to power all four speakers, to increase sound quality and not ruin my deck.

Now, I have been looking at some amps on eBay and so on, trying to find a good deal on a good quality amplifier, preferably less than $110, and I would like some guidance as to what brands would 1) work well with the Infinity speakers, 2) be relatively affordable, and 3) not sound like ass.

What came to mind for me would be the Alpine MRP/MRV series, does anybody have any other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Moncef

its not hard to make the adapter fit
    just a lil cutting
save you 100 bucks in the long run
hell go to the jy and get some and just cut them till they fit
my polks werent shallow enough as well but all you do is cut the basket out the back of the mount and they fit fine

the way i think of it is im not hauling around 60 pounds in the trunk....also when you have subs the alternator has to work harder and wasting more gas. i also noticed that handling is better. but i do miss my subs.....i drive way to much and at 4 bucks a gal its killing me....yesterday my car hit 155k....19k since i got it
