Noooooooooo!!!!

this morning i start my car to go school...well not really, i didnt go 1st block but thats besides the point. my idle was jumping from 1000- 2000 non stop...untill i get the car going after a while...after school same thing happened, but this time everytime it would drop it seems like it was gonna die on me...so just 30 mins ago i was driving down the street normal driving..i dont take it pass 4000 when i shift for a good 2 weeks...next thing you know my cars starts sputtering...PGM light goes on then my battery then my oil light...its having a hard time running slowing down i gas but nothing happensit revs but doesnt go anywhere and im gear then it revs but have a hard time keepung up pull in my houe and it dies...i start it up but takes a good 20-30 sec to get it going...running very rough and light keeps flickering while starting...while the car was running there was a high pitch noise lots of tapping and sound like i have put a untune cam in https://www.3geez.com/forum/images/smilies/wtf.gif

You check all the fluids yet? The only thing i could think is your alt. is crazy and seriously screwing with the sensors on your car. the tapping scares me as to no oil.

i checked oil...its low but its not that low...alt cant be...my car still start....

Damn, thats sounds scary How good are your ECU connections or grounds? Mine got wet and it died...making my car run like crap and I was about to trash it... The tapping your hearing I wouldn't know what to say it could be....

naw...it was my timing tensioner...it got lose and messed up my timing...all good 65 bucks for the assembly and installation...i just gotta worry if the head is damaged...

I was going to say it sounded like your cam jumped a tooth on the timing belt. It sounds like that or everytime its ever done it to me that is. glad it was an easy fix

Sounds more like an electric problem to me.

If ALL of the warning lights came on, this is mostly it. The battery and oil lights aren't really related in any way,

timing was off by a tooth...so my head are good thats the good news the bad is my distributor is all fucked...i looked at the bearings and some of the little balls were missing...and when i looked at the cap thats where it was..it became small metal dust...so now i gotta get a new distributor which is gonna cost me about 360...380 with cap and rotors...
