    dead pedal

does anyone have an auto tranny 3gee with no carpet? id like to know if there are mounting holes for a dead pedal without having to pull back the carpet to find out. yes i know ill have to pull it back to install the pedal if the car has the holes, but if they arent there i dont want to waste my time.

I have an LX with a 5-speed and when I pulled the interior out I didn't see any holes.

    Re: dead pedal

The only cars that have the place to mount the pedal are the cars that came with them, the later 5-speed LXis and SEis. They have a small raised bracket for the pedal, but it's not needed. You can just pull the carpet, position it where you want it, mark the holes, and drill. It's an easy install, just make sure you're not drilling into anything on the back side.

    Re: dead pedal

okay so i guess my car does not have the holes. i do have a dead pedal, its from a CRX, and i have all the hardware so if i really feel like drilling i can put it in. i just happened to see one in the picture of Strahan's garage door opener button in his thread, and it made me wonder if maybe the auto tranny cars had the holes. it would be nice to have something to rest my left foot on fa sho!

    Re: dead pedal

LOL, and where did you get it :P?

I've seen late auto LXis without them. Very few, but they exist. Junkyards will bring out the oddities when you start checking every car.

Like the LX i found with leather as a dealer option.

Oh yeah, I have a mint UNDEAD pedal!

I also have them in licorice and cinnamon.
