i know what he could do if they still make it, they used to make a system where you could turn a key, then press the brake pedal locking the brakes. a lot of delivery drivers used to use them.

so with the drivetrain being switched to the rear are you going to be getting a new kind of suspension instead of the indepandant rear, cause if you pump too much power into that car it wont go around corners any better than the front wheel drive. maybe even get a limited-slip diff. but just wondering

why would be be any diferent than any other car that has rear independent suspension? all i have to do is make sure my weight distribution is near 50/50 as possible and then find my best spring rates and shock adjustments and i should be good to go. as far as making it non independent or changing the suspension wont be possible being its mid engine, and i will most likely need to stay with the setup that came with the chassis.

are you using a front suspension on the rear? if so are you going to use fixed links to hold the spindles in place? if not how are you getting power to the rear wheels. another option people might have on this type of setup, is to turn the motor sideways, put the tranny in the back then run a torque tube down the center. you could also use my idea of the small odyssey battery in a box behind one of the seats. this reduces your battery weight to around 15 pounds, and moves it to the middle of the car.

suspension is as it was in the cb7 front end... battery will reside in the front passenger side under the hood. page 3 or something shows what i used from the cb7.

i made a cable -> hydro converter for the car that only uses a small portion of the cable from the pedal... tomorow i will mount it up and get pictures.

It works the same with our rear disc setup's from SE-i's. So here, instead of a cable pushing the pads against the rotor, you are just using the brake lines(line lock).

Anyways, looking forward to seeing this thing completed!

    Re: Project X: RWD Accord

haha besides ya guys here, i have quiet a few people here to that are expecting this thing to run, so its not like i can stop now. i even have a few a guys @ the local honda dealership here wanting to see it. i will take it to them to have the oil changed in the engine since i havent done so yet. had to explain to them why i was installing parts from a 4/5g lude into a 3g accord .

i will try to get some pics today of the pile of parts i've accumulated.

had some wicked thunder showers last night and its nice an cool out today.. so i will probably get quite abit done as long as i dun get wet.

ps.i haven't really looked at it, but is it pretty easy to setup a 3g garage?.

i saw on another site that someone used a motorcycle rotor and caliper on the driveshaft. maybe you could find something similar to use as an ebrake

We have two axles, so that wouldn't really work, unless he used two brake calipers.
