so the rad. is still up front?
88 DX hatch.
rad is still upfront yes...
videos/pics will come soon, there isn't much left to do now before i can test drive it at least.
Here is a short vid of the car running and me backing out of the drive way to back it in so i can work on the exhaust and fill the coolant system. sorry its low quality, i cant seem to figure out how to get it to play in high quality mode.
i'm now working on the exhaust and electrical, the coolant system appeared to fill correctly and bleed out properly.
more to come.
ps.. is there a way to embed youtube videos in posts here like on other boards?

2000 Montero Sport 4x4 (beater, trail rig)
Damn that's awesome man, almost done!
the car made it around the block no problems, i have to make adjustments to the clutch throttle and brakes.. but other than that felt pretty solid, except the whole smell thing from the exhaust manifold lol...
so just gotta finalize wiring in the car and start on the firewall.
you know what would be a cool video is you driving it around without the hood there, people will be like WTF!!!! hahhaa
good progress man
damn son. that shit if off teh chain! lol i wish i had a hatch that was rwd now.... thinking of making kits? :P
thats sick dude i like it a lot EDIT: how does the weight dist feel with the mid engine? it must feel so different and hows accel with that set up
Damn that impressive man. Ever figure out why the idle loops? I'm having trouble with mine looping every time I start it.
^usually the iacv &/or coolant needing bleeding^
or vacuum leak!!
on the f22's its usually the fitv..

SICK!!!! i want one !
1988 Honda Accord LX-i Coupe 123k miles.
ohhh the fast idle valve.... for when its cold, i hate that fucking thing, had the same problem on the a20's i had... gotta rip th lid off and screw it back in.
soooo i still have a problem with throttle in the car with it being really stiff and not being able to hit wot sometimes..
SOOOO hehee...one of the guys i work with and i are developing a drive-by-wire system... we spent about 6 hours or so developing the algorithm to operate the motor to open/close the throttle.. its extremely fast opening, faster than you could ever with your foot.. the problem was when you let it down half throttle, it bounces alittle. so we decided that later today after work, try a small stepper motor that we can break at the value matching the slave tps to the master to prevent it from doing that.
that is too cool.. good work man..
one day I'll return.
amazing! I never thought I would see the day that a 3g moved around powered by the back wheels.![]()
yea i never thought i'd see the day to actually. lol
electronic throttle system(ets i call it) hardware is setup.. i will get some vid later of that working for you guys, we went to a high torque rc car servo (up to 7.7kg/cm so it says).
just having a problem with the pic controller now since we went from a dc motor to a pulse driven servo. cant seem to generate the proper frequency (50hz'ish) that is needed to center the servo let alone control it without it starting to flail everywhere. something is wrong with the timer setup on the pic, and the servo ends up receiving a pulse that we can hear from the motor in the servo, somewhere around 1500-2000 hz i'm guessing. so we will try to correct that tomorrow, but i can at least test the ets hardware using my rc radio/receiver.

hahahah now get something for the wheel lol and have an rc rear wheel drive 3g lol
they make a bigger rc car server than the one i have now that can force up to 25kg... it also was almost twice the price.. so i didn't bother with that one.. also the one i have has all metal gears/output shaft.
