Bump for updates. I wish I would have read this thread sooner I was in K-town for the long weekend. Would have been cool to see it in person.

hey guys, so sorry about no updates.. alot has been going on between family and whatnot, that i havent taken any new pics or updates.. its been 2 drift events since i've actually posted here i think.. i got some video coming back from that..
since the h22 has been in the car, i managed to destroy the transmission.. so i was forced to put the f22 trans back in and drift it like that last weekend.. that thing blooowwwwsss... i ground the shit into it.. always in between gears.. doesn't like being shifted to fast.
when the h22 transmission decided to quit. it was the weekend after i had run at thunder mountain 1/8mile.. managed slow 10.8s with the passes i got and finished the clutch off, would not grab any gear doing ft shifts. made it home after, car sat for almost a week and a half because i was to lazy to put more gas in it lol.
so i went to go prepay for last weekends drift event when the differential pin in my transmission thought it would be funny to try to fly out. it started off as a clicking noise to "holyshititfeelslikemytiresarefallingoffomfgwtfbbq !!!!!!!1!" first i checked all my guages, oil press/temp/fuel, all good there.
managed to make it home just fine with it banging away to find my half belly pan is full of oil. got the transmission off.. its cracked inside the bell housing and the vss is pinched.. will not come out cracks all the way around the hole.
so what i'm going to do is take it apart, have someone weld the cracks in the casing.. weld the diff completely closed.. throw it back into the car for july 10th/18th racing/drifting.. and lol when it grenades..
then get a m2b4 transmission.
thats all i has for now.
the coilover socks are made from a weather resistant material similar to what lawn chairs are made of, but thicker. i've checked them from time to time to set my ride height. and they are nice and clean. even after driving through heavy rain / dirt roads. it would appear they are not absorbent.

I have used that alumalloy stuff you see on TV late at night. its pretty good for cracked cast cases and its more of a do it at home thing with a torch.

thanks, but i need to re-enforce the casing as well, so while its getting fixed i'm going to get them to weld in some re-enforcement plates as well.
H22A RWD Oh! my god...!
amazing accord...... that was an epic thread i guess read
not much of an update.. but i did include pics!!!!
this is the h22 trans from earlier this year.. my encounter after 1 night at thunder mountain 1/8 mile lol..
gonna see if someone can fix the housing.. weld the diff, then go for round 2..

yay for honda diff pins
possibly switching to an lude atts style transmission i'm going to modify..
EDIT: heres what i found out..
The half shaft is self explanatory, gear 1 directly connects to the half shaft. gear 2 connects to the passenger side axle through the differential. so when i lock both the gears together, then the diff itself is then locked. which is supposed to be nice for drifting.
the thing thats nice about this setup is i can couple/weld these gears together and they will slide with each other on and off the splines nicely. so you can see where i'm going with this now i hope..
the idea is to alter the system so it can be open for daily driving or locked for drifting at the track. hence i'm going to dub this project the "ATTS Locker"..
based one my measurements everything should be bolt on when i'm done. this magical half shaft will be enclosed to protect it from the elements.

just read through this on one read and gotta say.... DAMN.
one sexy accord, and props on the build. i wouldnt have been able to stay with it through the year plus it took to get it going, but im impatient
in to see the turbo setup go in. also where are you looking at getting an electric heater core? mines not in the greatest shape and here instant heat would be awesome
Just read the whole thread and i just gotta congratulate you man. That is just insane!
I will be sure to drop you a line when i do a cross country trip from Toronto to Victoria this summer.
Great work!
so i've been wondering the waight of the car now with all th metal now?
Long time no update.
I had just bought a house and so progress has been slow to nothing.. at one point i almost parted the car.. but couldn't bring my self to it..
the suspension is still awesome.. i now have hondata s300 sorta tuned, and found out how out of tune the car really is from the accord/vsafc ecu setup..
exhaust needs complete rework- to small.
intake needs work- started on a dual tb setup, never finished it tho
my injectors were the wrong size.
looking to convert to 5 lug and looking for more steering angle.
moving the rad to the back and side venting/filter through the body
full custom engine wiring harness.
transmission lock fell through since i had to move. lost if not threw out most of the parts, so i'm back to the good ol long gear accord tranny for now.
i have not abandoned it. it has been a while, but other stuff on the go i hope this july / august i can get back to it.
last weight the car was just over 2400lb with full tank.
good to see you're still working, keep it up man we all love the work.
dead white and blue
glad to hear an update bro...for the amount of work and dedication youve put into your hatch i would never even think of parting it man...keep it forever its one of a kind
Ohh an update, good stuff. I've gotta come over one of these days and check that beast out, and also to pick your brain a bit.
how that my garage is pretty much in my backyard i will be able to work on it more often once i start again.
yay for updates

Good thing you didn't part with it, I was hoping I'd get to see more updates from this bad ass project.
new addition to the car family, couldn't resist.
its completely stock. the only thing really wrong with it is the power steering hose has a hole in it, so i cut the belt of. needs a glove box as well and i might change the carb setup. engine wise, this will remain relatively stock as it was redone not to long ago... i might lower it with my spare suspension on 17's.
