hehe when i'm done with this.... i'm going to buy a new welder with gas...

oh.. i will get tired of this eventually... probably not for drifting tho...

my next project entails me building a cart with the tract/wheelbase of a crx... and the type r engine out of my integra... something along those lines... if i want to murder auto cross.. this is probably the only way to go.

started with a higher wire speed, but started to make holes... so had to turn it down along with volts.

leave the heat down and play with the wire speed .Also with thin sheet metal weld 1/2"-1" at a time or it will get too hot and start blowing holes. so weld, 1-1/2" space, weld and so on or if you still blow holes you can pulse the trigger to help keep the heat in check. kinda like you're tack welds.
    I hope this is helpful.

this is the 1st time i have seen this thread.. dunno where i have been lol. Oh well looks like a good project. as for drifting i dont know how well it will go. i think you will probably have a severe case of "toyota MR2" but thats allright if you learn how to control it you should be fine....

soo has it got a sunroof? are you going to drop the engine in thru it?? haha cant wait to see a motor sitting in this baby

i must say you've made good progress. once this is done the only thing you can do that would be more bad ass is a bi motor car. that would be pretty sweet

yea, and i do have 2 h22a's, but i wont because 2x motors lead to potentially 2x the problems... and then i have limited space for cooling, fuel cell, blah blah.....

after this... i'm considering on building the second h22a up for race..

~12.1cr forged internals, cams, balanced... would like to see 9k rpm out of it.

this soley depends on how my cash flow is when i'm done this project and how this h22a runs that i'm putting in.

i'm going to be modding the intake manifold on this thing to.. i'm planning on dual tb's since i have 2 identical ones.... and just because i can... i know what ever cams i drop in, they are going to love them, and my 4-2 exhaust.

    Re: Project X: RWD Accord

    update:

engines in the car but i didnt have my camera, so i will get pics tomorow.

i had a problem with the accord transmission mount not lining up it was to short and 2-3" to forward compared to the driver side mount, so i had to use the lude mount which was still 1/4" out.. but still let me bolt up front and rear mount no problem. if right now it looks as if it were meant to be. underpully is alittle close to the driverside frame rail, but i will drill out the base of the lude mount and get my 1/4" back..

now i can work on electrical, cooling, clutch, shifter, throttle, exhaust. once thats all done, i will start on the firewall.. i will need to drop the engine one more time to install a new clutch and thats about it.

really pushing it, but theres a 2 day event on june 7-8 held by D-Sport i kinda really really want to be there for that! don't necessarily have to race, just want to go check out the track an stuff.

this engine for now is staying stock so i'm not really worried about it, the other h22a needs to be rebuilt, so i will do the conversion to that one.

Well, certainly not for this pic. I would have practiced welding a lot more before undertaking this project, but that's just me, that's not criticism. That's what projects are for, to learn. After he's done, next time vector decides to hack the shit out of a car and put a completely different motor in it in a completely different location, he'll be that much closer to making it look like it was made that way, lol.
Vector, you really are a crazy mf. Yesterday I was getting all pissed at how hard it was to just adapt a gsr power steering line to my car, I had to bend the shit out of it to make it fit, p/s fluid was dripping all up on my face and soaking through my jacket, and it took way longer than I had anticipated. Then I thought, man..there's a guy on here who's swapping a motor into the Back of a 3g and I'm getting pissed at how hard it is to just get my damn gsr p/s installed? Jeez..time for me to man up..
I am really curious to see how you'll set up the cooling lines, wiring harness, exhaust, fuel tank, etc, etc. I'm also curious how you'll reinforce and tie together the top of the strut towers really well. Just one question left, after that's all done, do you think you'll have room for an intercooler and something like a gt4088r? Or wait.. actually, I think the new hotness is the borg warner shit, so maybe like an s366?
Picure that..wheels up launches on slicks in a 3g.
