thats what i thought to.. but it doesnt have one... i can always line up the timing marks with the underpully... maybe the h22 flywheel has a hole in it.. i should check that later.
not sure about weight.. i did some searching on teg google..nothing turned up, but if the f22 flywheel is lighter tho, i'm probably going to want to run that..
This is looking sweet man, nice to see the hatch getting some love! Get some tires on it too haha.
heres the update for the day... i took some pics of the f22 flywheel to show there is no hole for the crank pin, and that i'm not going insane lol.
^^^ no hole for any pin.
my h22a1 flywheel i have does have a hole for the pin, but its bigger than the f22's so that wont work.
^^^ new fuel system courtesy from my place of work and darren(oldtimer2g's)
^^^ my solution to getting the cv axle nuts off when suspension is not in the car. sledge hammer and a 1" drive socket/breaker bar.
^^^ i have a pretty good idea what this does... .but WHY!!!!... UPDATE: fellow over @ cb7tuner says it removes vibration at idle... neat huh. wonder what else i can use it for lol.

turns out the flywheel is from a b series motor.. that does explain alot
another h22 hatch.....it's awesome! The perfect Hatchback.

scored a almost free 95 h22 with tranny and jdm dis/wiring
swapped a prelude for someone in 2 days for the old motor. story behind it:
bought car in edmonton.. drove it around.... moved to kelowna, had timingbelt done... problems started happening.
things i noticed WRONG when i took off the belt cover.
balancer belt was waaaaay to tight, aparently when it was running it sounded like it had a supercharger on it.. made funny clicking noises when i turned the crank by hand.
BOTH balancers were not set @ crank TDC.... somehow managed to overtighten timing belt itself... i'm thinkin i'm going to remove the balancer belt and lock both shafts. since i dont really care about having an extra littlebit of vibration.
did a leakdown... 15% loss cross the board.. since i know this engine was running fine before, i'm going to skip the A6 and put this one instead.
More pics.....
my pretty much freebie h22a1....
and h22a1 transmission...
some progress on the car... kinda letting the cat out of the bag now.

^^^^----yes sir... its looks fucking sweet from the back!
inside the back of the car...
this should attract some more attention now lol.
basically i'm still using the 4g clip... and the h22... i just didn't say where i was putting it.
ps... i made it this far... and i realized how much i hate the brakes on the 4g.... they work fine.. but a bitch to change. good thing i dont have to do it often, trying to find a way to convert them to drop off rotors.

Vector we must be distantly related somehow, man you are an evil genius with cars and your hatch matches my LX sedan with the painted mouldings.
Very outstanding thread.
Can't wait to see this monster done!
