Ok... You have an LX Model, and what I know is that the 88-89 lxi cams are quite a bit bigger...

If you are at a J.Y. looking for a cam, look for intake valve springs from a 2g Prelude (I think, someone correct me please)

Do some searching on this stuff.

me?? Was any of my info incorrect or misleading? I just wouldn't advise dropping a bigger cam in without better valve springs to keep up.

It's not needed, but while you have the cam out, they're right there...

    Re: cams...

^^ lol geddy very well played. I agree that if you're going to get a bigger cam, just do the a18 valve springs while you're in there. It can't hurt to have a higher redline. If anything it'd be a fun way to freak people out while they're riding in your car. All the extra noise, and the tach wrapping out.
Lostforawhile:we have to pick on him he's CAH he spray painted himself into this corner with the accord.

Uh, I'm really not sure if you understand the whole concept of valve float, after that comment.

im not sure how to explain it.....il guess i really need to get a video.....it could also be my restrictive intake...since i am obd1 my secoundaries dont open....so my car tends to lean out...it could also be my integra gears.....with my tire size...they are 50 series and car tends to jump to redline alot with little gas. it reduces engine efficiency and performance

The 88/9 had a dual runner intake manifold. The second runners were opwerated with a set of 4 butterflies.
