I received it yesterday, It had a manufacture date of Sep 1997. That end of the engine is so quiet now. Truly, it is a beautiful thing.
Sweet merciful crap! That's almost the holy grail. Maybe the, er, profane grail. Congrats!

Hey, I got a radical knock on the passenger side of my engine that I can't pinpoint... Was your dizzy knockin??
The one I rebuilt myself has a small knocking sound because the reluctor hits the pickup on one side. I messed with it and messed with it, but the clearance is so tiny I couldn't prevent a slight knock. In my case it would have eventually stopped with a bit of wear. Maybe I ought to sell my rebuilt one. It is SWEET, too. In your case you will need to remove the dizzy from the car and turn it by hand to tell.
