got another question do you guys think i can use the rear disc setup out of a prelude would that work or do the preludes sit with a wider wheel stance like the upper and lower control arms are longer cause if not it might work with a lil bit of cutting and welding any body question that one???

As far as I know, the only fully 'bolt-on' full knuckle assembly is a direct swap from an SE-i. As for switching the hardware and fitting it to the stock drum knuckle, I have no idea. For the full knuckle assembly swap from some other rear-disc equipped car, I'm even more in the dark.
It's far more then just the length of the knuckle. It's the suspension mounting point locations, how many, and what type of susp setup it has. There's also length (or height) as you mentioned, but don't forget about the curvature of the knuckle too. Then the bearing/hub assembly.
Although the preludes are similar looking, from the same vintage, have rear disc, and a 4x100 lug pattern, my guess is the similarities stop there.
I'm not saying don't try it, in fact, please do as long as it won't cost you anything if it does'nt work, after all that's how we found that the front calipers are interchangeable with some 'teg and civic's and the rear calipers w/ the legend. (don't quote me on those interchanges, it's been a long time.)

Here's some rebuilt calipers:

yeah, 1989 se-i is the only source for rear discs. i happen to have two sets sitting in my garage. (could have a third, but no market makes my spending money on them fruitless so the other set probably got crushed.) i found them at the jy, they each came out to being about $200 for each set. if your jy has half off days and you happen to find them, they end up being cheaper. however, they are quite heavy, and even with the discs and calipers removed (which can be shipped in a separate box cheaply), the hubs themselves still weigh a fortune each and are rather bulky as well.
i got 89 legend rear calipers waiting to go on

Honestly, that fittment schedule listed is a load of crap. I like how they say that these rear discs will only fit 88-89 Sedans, but will fit all trim levels. Just like Messy said, I would give them a call.
But that said, at that price, I'm just about positive you can find the same (or comparable) rotors somewhere else, and have a more definitive and correct fittment schedule.
Although they are pretty expensive, I am a huge fan of the Brembo c/d rotors. hmm... maybe I'll start a thread about all the aftermarket rotors and reviews of them for our cars....

well that being said i went and looked at other stores on ebay and heres an awesome store for discs heres a link for them well for the 88 and up lxi and sei:

and for the lx and dx:

and im sure you guys are wondering i did ask them and you can choose from any pattern on there page well for the lxi and sei anyway but im pretty sure they will do the same for dx and lx models also

at the price, it doesn't seem to me that it would be all that bad. I would be willing to give a full set (front and rear) of the F1 series a shot with Axxis pads.

yeah, that price definitely isn't bad. i paid $150/set fronts and $130/set rear for ebc discs a couple weeks ago.
yeah deff a good price i think if i had to choose from all of those hahaha id get either the sprints or the shanks there pretty sweet looking and there both cross drilled and slotted
