Hey guys, been awhile since I've hung around here. About a year ago I quite driving the '87 and replaced it with a '94 Accord EX. 2 door, leather, sunroof, the works. I threw on a GReddy cat-back, a cheap intake, and a short shifter. It's much faster than the '87 and rides a lot smother. Nice car. But I still have the old one just sitting there while I pay a car loan and higher insurance. So today I had a thought. Why not replace the Weber carb with some fuel injection? There's tons of 3rd gens sitting in the junkyard. And it's not like the car has been moved for a couple of weeks now. I've gotten kicked off my street for parking with expired tags twice now and it won't pass emissions because of the carb and bigger exhaust so I can't renew them. So why not work on making the old one fuel injected and sell the new one when it's done? I like the newer one. It's comfortable and is fairly quick. But if I can do the F.I. conversion on the old one, I won't have to worry about dumping another 5 grand into the new one to get the mods I want, and I won't have a car payment. Plus, the '87 will be quicker than it was with the Weber so it won't be as much of a dog (the second barrel doesn't open). So basically what I'm getting at, what do you guys think? If all goes as planned I'll be able to have a grand or so to play with after selling the '94, and be able to pay a loan on a street bike. Seems like a good deal to me. Any ideas? Is it worth it?
Also, the '94 has 186k miles compared to the 89k on the '87
