    Bump Steer/Creaking

Ok guys, a couple of days ago, my car began to squeak/creak/clunk in the rear, and it does it constantly, enough to make me annoyed. It sounds bad, and I can hear it over my radio sometimes.

Ever since i've lowered my car, my car has a sort of bump steer, where if I hit certain bumps, the car will kinda twitch for a second and then keep going straight. I've gotten used to it, but this sound makes me think that something serious needs to be replaced.

I'm thinking that it's the ball joint, but my rear shocks also need to be replaced as they are leaking fluid and lack proper rebound. What do you guys think?

I'd check all of the bushings and the ball joints.

In my moms 2003 Acura 1.7EL (fancy civic) ... The rear shocks were leaking and caused the car to bump steer horribly... I had the car go sideways in the rain a couple times before it was fixed.

But the creaking I would say most likely busings (upper strut mount) or ball joints.

My car does this same thing, mechanic told me it was the bushings and that I could leave it be until I felt like spending a buttload of money.

I'm assuming your talking about the noises and not the bumpsteer? That makes me feel more confident. I'm not quite ready to spend money diagnosing which part is failing, but I don't want to risk my car or my life.

Make sure the strut mounts are good. I seen a grand prix with bad memory steer and replaced those, and was just fine after replacement. Check balljoinst too, they are cheap on Ebay.
