F23A1, is it right for my 85 hatch?

Alright Im new with the 2gen but Iv looked at possible swaps and have decided that the h22 is the WRONG thing for me. Iv been looking in to other motoers and this F Series has cought my eye. I was wandering if this would work with my 1985 Accord Hatch.

Ill take any information i can get. Thanks.

not without a TON of work. The easiest swap for you will more than likely be a 3rd gen accod motor, A20

PhydeauX ran a 15.7 quarter mile with a stock A20 in his 2nd gen with big carbs. So you'll be faster than most 3rd gens and 4th gens I would imagine.

Or have your ES motor bored out to 2 liters and run A20 pistons, snag and ES3 head and have a custom intake manifold made for some big carbs, I bet you'd be even faster than an A20.

Yeah, except the F-series is the low performance version, if that's what you want.

Try a fuel injected A20 from a 3rd gen, or the more exotic JDM B20A. Oh, and before you start telling us about how you got a wicked deal on your neighbors 3rd gen Prelude B20, you must understand that the B20A you want WAS NEVER marketed in the US. You have to get it from overseas.

If you're in Schaumburg, IL, then no you haven't. This motor was not in any US cars. You may have seen a B20A5 or whatever that one is in the 3rd gen Prelude. Nothing in a 3rd gen Prelude will work.
