you shouldn't need them. I had everything you listed when I put rear discs on my hatch, and it all went together without a problem.

I am not sure on this, but I think the 86-87 rear trailing arms are slightly different from the 88-89 ones, therefore you would need the trailing arms from any 88-89 Accord.

Oh. yeah I have an 88 so I guess that's why I didn't need to swap the trailing arms. I have no idea on the 86-87's though

To check the trailing arm compatibility, simply compare the part numbers for 86-87 and 88-89 years. A dealership can do this very easily for you. If you use the Honda parts catalog, you can also use a part number to find which cars it was used on. Personally, this is the first time I've heard that there is a difference. 86-87 cars didn't have sway bars in the rear, but they should have the holes for mounting them in the trailing arms. That's the only difference I can think of. Removing the trailing arms is a bit of an annoyance because you have to reset the bushings that attach them to the chassis (tightened under load).

I just checked Majestic Honda and they seem to have the same part numbers. I remember seeing someone having issues with the trailing arms being different.

They should all be the same. The knuckles are different, but the trailing arms should all be identical. I've done this conversion on an '89 DX hatch, and an '89 DX Coupe.
As for the sway bars, if memory serves me, the DX did not have any rear sways, and just a dinky front. The LXi and SEi have a rear, and a larger front.

havent even started it yet, was still wondering if the rear trailing arm was different, i already have a 87 LX-i so there no probs with anything else, i did upgrade the front brakes to the 88-89 set , but im still stuck with people telling me the trailing arm is different or that theres camber issues if i try using the stock 87 trailing arms

Just try to bolt it up, if it doesn't work out then just grab some from the junkyard.
