    My new 3g story

sunday i bought a 3g in san diego
89 lxi coupe mt awesome shape 234k $750
knew i was gonna need to replace the tranny (pops outta 5th on the freeway)

    wednesday (today)
hitched a ride from riverside w/ a friend to SD (134 miles)
picked up the car drove it back north
went passed my house to the smog guy where it barely passed
then to another end of town to an atm (cuz AAA wont take plastic for dmv stuff)
then to the opposite end of town again to AAA to get it all in my name
and then (just for the fun of it) i thought i'd give the local jdm shop fair warning I got another 3g and that I was looking for a tranny for it by stopping by.
I got 1.5 miles away from the motor shop when the tranny seized in the middle of 3 lanes of traffic.
    what a day
*for everyone who will flame me for lack of pics: tomorrow when the sun is up and after I wash it.

the tranny is in the bag.
they already got it, and put my name on it.
all i'm sweatin now is a jdm motor
cuz its soooo much easier to do the engine AND tranny, and I can keep the core too as a spare if i wants

i would get it from a place that gives a warranty....when i got one of those 50k or less miles trannys it didnt work...but it was an auto...and i had to switch it out...i only had like 6 month warranty but it was worth it.
