    Timing

I've been reading and I am trying to figure out if my timing is advanced or retarded. If I set the flywheel to the T mark, the cam gear UP mark is about a tooth off to the left. So that means the UP mark sits on the left side of the valve cover studs( closer to radiator or front of car).

Is that retarded? Any problems running like that?

Car runs great, pulls strong, no pinging on 87 octane. Gas mileage is great too.

    Re: Timing

i believe since it rotates counter clockwise it would mean you valve timing is advanced

For some reason I thought it would be retarded.
