"Zero" miles is also used as a figure of speech or slang, the english language can get complicated and illusive in true meaning.
They could have just said that because eg. 52 miles would just get confusing.
It is pretty cherry though, and the rubber comment is wrong I would guess because my rubber is mint on both 86 models except a litte sunburn on the coated mouldings, even my 94 had that though.
Tyres will probably be lethal except for low speed short runs. My 83 still had 4.5 m/m on the original Michelins, a short run (with bendy bits) soon had the sidewalls cracking. There has been a recent case in GB of an MG owner buying a nos tyre which blew out on the motorway, causing a fatality, the tyre was later found to be over 20yrs old. John
