    Painted my Oil Pan Today

Its a Metallic Blue, clear coated. I also did my timing belt covers and distributor cap. Almost a shame its gotta go on the bottom of the car,

Re: Painted my Oil Pan Today

No dyno numbers yet, I am completing a new motor swap with an EK bored 40 over and a modified EL head, with larger s/s valves, bronze guides, titanium retainers, crowler springs shaved, ported and heart shaped combustion chamber. I have been told it should produce some decent numbers and will have a dyno run in August and hopefully a quarter mile time....as it is it pulls very nice for a 1700 pound car, here is a clip....keep in mind it is in Km/H (its not that fast!!)

Damn dude, you're really going all out on that one. I'm jealous of that motor. Are you going be running 40 or 45mm carbs? You have 40mm Mikuni DCOE clones now right? I think with a setup like that you'll want to go bigger!

Re: Painted my Oil Pan Today

The carbs are Dellorto DHLA 40's. Basically the same as the Weber DCOE 40.

I have them choked down to a 32mm choke. I was running a 30 mm choke before but figured I can open them up now that I will be running some larger valves. I also discovered throguh tearing down the old motor that my cam shaft, that I was always told was a regrind, was actually stock.

I am looking into a hard faced welded cam now but I think for the time being I have the stock one reground until I can figure out a profile I want to use.
