    THE BEST WHEELS, and questions...

Found the BEST wheels for my car!!! :super: here Weld Motor Sports They are the Magnum Import Drags. They'r only 8 lbs!!! Holly shit!! (unless any one can find lighter ones, or one's the same wheight for less) But I've got some questions...

They've got a 0mm offset, for the rears I am not worried, as for the fronts, how will this effect the wheel when it turns? Will it hit the edges of the wheel-well?

Secondly, what the heck is a "Back-Space"? Comparible to the offset? What?

And thirdly (but I'm sure I will have more in a little while). And this may be tricky, what is a "Bead-Loc" And what is the difference beatween None, Outer Bead-Loc, Bead-Loc and Cover, Outer Accu-Loc, and an Inner Bead-Loc? What dows all this mean?!

I sure hope I can get these wheels (AH SHOOT, they're expensive, well, kinda). With some body work, or not, they'd be AWSOME!! They look... GOOD, but the performance I'll bet will be awsome... Any one have any sugestions!? Maybe better wheels?

[edit note! I fixed your link, you had it wrong, ok now; jim c)

I can't access the site, when I click on "wheels" or anything for that matter, nothing happens.

Good lord "0 offset"!??! you flat out can't run with that. Your tires will be sticking out from the fenders a hecka lot. As you go lower with offset numbers, you are moving the rim/tire away from the center of the car towards the fender lip, go higher and your moving them in the other direction towards the inside of the car and away from the fender lip. Since you mention drag racing, I think I understand why they offer the 0 offset. I recall seeing several pics of import drag car's that have really big fender flairs, a 0 offset would explain why. Do they offer anything in a 40, 42, 43, 45mm offset? If not, your looking at some pretty serious fender flairing to get them to fit.

Here's a good explantion of offset, it's from discount tire's site.

I'm not familar with the other terms you mention back space, bead loc, but I could research them if you need me to. I've seen them mentioned at a site that sell's light weight steel wheels for racing, but since all thier stuff as really low offsets I never had a reason to learn what the term's ment and I deleted the book mark off my computer.

Hit me back with a direct link to the rims your talking about ,if you can and tell me anything else you may be thinking.

yeah, I thought about the offset thing, don't really think it will be too much of a problem, but now I'm starting to second gues them, too drag.

I mean, yeah, I want good wheels performance wise, but it's not a drag car, by any means. There was a nice set a wheels made for 5zigen, they weighed in at about 11 lbs, pretty good, they were black, four spoke, five star design, I can't find them though, they were made by some company for 5zigen, they were fetured in import tuner, july I think? It's the one with the 240sx/silvia hybrid on the cover. They looked sweet and they're light as hell too. If any one knows what ones I'm talking about contact me, it's a pain. I'd like to find them. Oh well.

    Oh, about the bead-loc thing
it is a peice designed to be bolted to the outer rim of the wheel, designed to hold the rubbers in place better and provide side wall support I think. It's a circle track thing I beleive. Wouldn't matter for me. Gosh, too bad you cant get to them, they look nice, but they've got gold colord centers, not my scheem, but oh well. Thanks.

nope, wrong one, they have a tire guide in the magazine I'm talking about, it's in there, not to mention that it is a conversion car with an engine swap, and its a grayish-yellow silvia.
