    B20A Head Gaskets?

I have recently tried tracking down OEM B20A head gaskets with no luck. I tried my past vendor in japan along with another one in japan and new zealand with no luck. Its either not available or being held back. They just said "maker controls part" and that was the best responce i could get.

So with that said i would like to compile any available resources you guys have. I did pick up an aftermarket set but im learly of using it with high levels of boost.

Anyone with alternatives please drop some information here. I have contributed a fair amount to the B20A information pool now im hoping others can help me out.

    Thanks,

    Rob

Tommy (TWOLOUDNPROUD) has a supplier that can get full gasket sets for the B20A. Maybe they will sell just the head gaskets

Hmmm, I got my OEM gasket from New Zealand.

I tried a BGAuto gasket with success so far. The only thing it needed is a re torque after a couple hundred miles.

    http://www.bgautomotive.co.uk/?js=1

Just get the gasket for the 2nd gen lude B20A (Part No : CH8303). They list the wrong gasket for the 3rd gen Accord B20A

They make their own gaskets so I wonder if we could order MLS gaskets (Multi layer Steel) instead of the regular FBX (Fiber with steel core)

    I take it a Fel-Pro gasket for the B20A5 doesn't work?

I think i have the AJUSA kit now im not 100% but i did pick up an aftermarket not long ago. But it does not look as good as the OEM part thats why im still looking around. I just hate to do trial and error with my next turbo motor.

I never did have a problem getting them in the past so im afraid it could be discontinued now. But i sent an email to bg to see if they will do a MLS gasket so i will keep my fingers crossed.

They need 100 people/orders to make the MLS gasket so thats a pipe dream.

whats the cost. If we can up the general cost and each person just buys 10 yes its a bother having them left over but at least you have them. When I had my civic I bought alot of muliples just to get to the majic number. Im not saying Im in the market for 1000 worth of headgaskets but if they are somewhat cheap Id be down for 250 worth of headgaskets

I don't know how you feel about using a solid copper gasket, but Cometic can make you one for a very fair price ($65 when I ordered) all you need to do is send them an example to use as a template.

You can also choose from different thicknesses of material if you desire to bump your compression one way or another compared to stock.

It's not OEM, but it could certainly be a good choice for a high boost scenario.

I had a cometic one made for my B20A and i just wasn't sold on how well it would seal and the motor had to come apart so the gasket was shot. Its an option but i would rather test an aftermarket if i have to. The oem honda gasket held up to 17psi and i had a few spikes into the mid to upper 20's when my boost solenoid failed.

Realistically i would like an oem one but unless anyone else knows where to buy them i think im at a loss. And getting 100 units sold on the MLS is not practical from what i have seen in the past as far as group buys.

    Re: B20A Head Gaskets?

Im waiting on a price but i would assume ball park of $100 if the fiber gasket is not far off from that.

But i will post up what they tell me when i hear.
