    Fuel Tank

    anybody know if this will fit my 85 hatch? i tired checking the parts numbers...i been havin problems with my fuel system lately and the only things i havent changed on this car are the tank and the front filter...so..HELP

    you have other options,go to eastwood.com and look for their tank prep and cleaning kit, basically you remove the tank, add the cleaner in the kit to a gallon of i believe acetone, and use it to clean the tank, then the kit comes with a sealer. these kits are designed to save hard to find tanks.

    If you don't go the cleaning route, then that tank should work. I don't know by looking, but if it fits 82-85, I believe all the tanks are the same, hatch or sedan.

    Unless your tank is actually leaking or severely corroded, (ie, it's about to be leaking) I see no reason to replace it. But I'm sure that tank would fit anyways, I considered buying one for my car before I realized I have a sandblaster and some paint.

    it's not a bad idea to clean and seal any tank this old, i know i plan on doing mine.
