I know I'm not the only one to have this thought

So I'll ask you guys too. Anyone ever taken one of those cheap ass ebay strut bars for a civic or the like and put them up to our shock tower mounts? Most of them have the threads on the end for adjustability, so I don't see why at least one of them out there wouldn't work. I'm gonna start taking all my friends bars and seeing how close they are to mine, Im determined to find some that fit!

Seriously, I found one NIB last week on ebay for that I got for $102. Only the bots were bidding against me, no one else.

ebay changed their policy on bidders names. Every bidder remains anonymous to everyone except the seller. I guess it's some sort of privacy thing.

As for the bars, in most cases the cheap metal plates that are stamped for the brackets are so weak, and the aluminum bridge is also so thin that everything flexes to the point that it does basically nothing. If you want one for looks, then go for it, they can look good. ..but if you're going for functionality, I would think twice about it if it were me.

well if i can find one cheap enough, i just wanted it for a pattern. i also think you can flip strut top hats after taking out the studs and use them for the bases.

mine's made of solid gold and platinum. ...ok guys, you both got awesome deals, and keep it up and I'll be forced to take them from both of u and put them on my car. I'll do the red one on even months, and the polished on on odd months just for a little variety.

no really though, let's get back on topic of Cody's request.

Re: I know I'm not the only one to have this thought

lol I hate yall with the DC bar!! ;]

I'm gonna cut/weld my own bases for this, I just needed a bar with the threaded b/s and all that + the correct length and height fitment.

I'll let you guys know how it works out and I'll have plenty of pics. TWHONZA didn't complain and it sure looks good on his car.(wonder if it functions as well as it looks?) I'll keep you guys posted.

Only one hole lines up, you have to bend the base to get it to fit the other/redrill. I'll tell you as soon as I get it thursday. Quick shipping ftw!
