    Unhappy tragedy!

So there I was, day before mothers day, drivin my baby behind my roommate up the I-10 from tucson when traffic just stops moving. Come to find out it's comstruction so we decide to get off on the next exit. Apparently that was a bad idea because traffic did the same thing here! Only this time we didn't notice soon enough and i rear-ended him. His car was totalled and my radiator was split in half -_-

Here's a link to my myspace with all the pictures. The hood, left fender, left head light, and obviously the radiator need to be replaced. Anyway after a lot of talkin it over with my dad we've decided that we should sell it(I have a previous project). And this is the best place to do it.

I'm not sure of exact miles but it's 105,XXX ORIGINAL MILES.

    Re: tragedy!

why dont you fix it? new fenders bumper bonnet radiator lights and probably the metal piece that holds the radiator on the top and it would be good as new. these cars are quite hard to bend with head ons

    Re: tragedy!

ok, so first, where are you located? Where's the car? Looks like Colorado plates, but can't be sure.

    2. Sedan or Coupe? I'm guessing Sedan based on the wheels, but you tell me.

    3. That's a crying shame it happened to such a clean car. The motor looks to be in great shape.

    4. That front end is fukd. The whole front bulkhead will need to be replaced as well. Along with drivers headlight assy, fender, corner, signal lens/housing, rad, A/c condensor and line(s), P/S line(s), hood latch, top rad/bulkhead cover, hood, grille, etc, etc.

By no means is that me trying to say it's not worth it. Hell that's a one day job as long as the frame rails are still straight. (Good news is that it looks like the rails will be unaffected by the crash because of how high up on the front end you hit. Really the bumper looks to be salvageable too.

If by some small miracle you can find a j/y donor car that's in as good of shape, and is also black, you should be able to get away with a repair of about 600-800.

Just curious, if you were to try and sell it as is, how much would you be looking to get for it? Auto or stick?

    Re: tragedy!

its a sedan, auto and the bumper is actually fine, we were both pretty nosed down tryin to stop in time so it went under his bumper (that plate saved it from his muffler tip )
    the cars in chandler arizona
mark got pretty much everything right about what needs to be fixed.
the reason im not really wanting to do it is because i have a previous project i need to get done... and i dont wanna deal with that headlight.

im not really sure on a price, we pretty much stole it for 2k... i would really like to get 500-1k for it

as far as donor cars go i know my dad found 2 or 3 that he said were in good enough shape to get everything needed to fix it, i think one was the same color but i dunno if it has all the body parts needed and this was a while ago so who knows whats still there

the only unrelated problems are the driver window motor and muffler need to be replaced and my ex got mascara on the roof and passanger visor

    Re: tragedy!

thats a damn good reason to call her an ex if you ask me. If your getting makeup on my car, it better be on the back seat lower section with smear marks if you know what i mean.

Too bad about the car it really does look like the sun down there kept it in great shape.
