Go to the junkyard and steal one. Those rivet looking things are actually shear screws. A pair of diagonals or a screwdriver and hammer will get them started, then you can usually back them out the rest of the way with your fingers. You will need to have a voltmeter to set it at the correct position.

I am not sure if that one is it, but I remember a discussion about using the ford TPS. The resistance values need to be the same or close though. I can look that up on the snap on vantage if you need, comparative values between Honda and Ford on that sensor.

well the stock A20A3 TPS would mount on the Ford TB but I do have the Ford TPS so what I need to do is figure out which wire does what. On the ford TPS I have Black, Orange and Blue. the stock Honda is Yellow/white, green/white, red/yellow. Anyone care to offer any insight

    year model mustang?
A TPS is basically just a pot switch (potentiameter), all it does is recieve the 5 volt reference signal and offers resistance according to position then sends a .5 to 5.0 volt signal back. If the resistance values are close (measured disconnected) to Honda I think it would work fine. In theory there should really be no difference as long as it is three wire. I would think that the geometry of the switch that goes to the TBI being used would would work best.
The position of the wires are different so If your switch or plug is numbered Honda 1 (Green/white) is ECM return, 2 (Red/Yel) is signal , and 3 ( Yel/white) is reference issue by ECM 5.0 volts
Ford is 1 =5.0 volts reference, 2 signal, 3 ECM return. stand by for colors as soon I know what model mustang your part is from.

Im not sure what year but according to edelbrock its for a 5.0 from 86-93. Thanks for your help roodoo. Do you know if the wiring plugs are the same for TPS on 5.0/and smaller from the same generation. Ill go to the wreckers today and look for the car side of the harness

good thing you told me that I was looking at post OBD II cars (1996 & Up)
I would get the plug with the switch so you cant go wrong since you are splicing it in anyway.

cool it comes with the switch, you still need the connector so let me know when you get that and I can give the the wire code. ;I am surprized since it is for application to Honda Acuras (according to the pdf filie on summit link you sent), they did not include a color code for connecting it to theirr switch.

Ididnt get a chance to stop buy the JY today and probably wont for a few more days maybe a week. I was thinking about it though. I should be able run a resistance test on the wires, find 2 wires that show continuity, the 3rd would change values based on the spin of the sensor? Would this work? I cant find the wiring schematic online for a early fox body. Myabe you can help roodoo

Ok so i think I found it http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=6 let me know if that helps
