OMG I love your black interior!
I'm in the process of converting my interior to black as well and can't wait to see how you do the door panels.

i'm going to wait on the door panels for another time, but as for the rear inner panels by the back seats, i am just going to make them from scratch because i have some storage holes. i am going to eliminate those plastic boxes and just make it a 1 piece panel.
hopefully i get it finished today
The car looks great man
The valve cover looks soooo good.
your interior is fantastic looking.
Keep up the great work and hope to see it this week if we all get together to meet forrest
almost finished. just have a little bit left to do. it sucks that the panels have to be installed in a certain order.
heres how it looked before.
so i took all the carpeting off and i am left with this
some what flimsy and a big hole in the middle
so i got a 2'x4' 3/16" birch piece of wood to make my own panels....
copied the old board onto the new
took off all the metal supports off the old piece and pop riveted them onto the new one
done with the hardest part!
then covered it with foam
then black vinyl

then installed the speakers
here is what it looks like installed
i also got the piece that goes between the window and the panels recovered but i cant install them yet because im working on a secret project and also the pieces can't be installed until the rear plastic panels are in.

Good work! Now make one for the front! Heh. Just remember you have to get under the hood and over the carb. But you seem to have the common sense and fab skills to do it yourself. Looking sharp man! You're coming along really quickly on this, I'm getting jealous someone having a better 2gee than me!!!![]()
What car was that strut tower for anyways?
oh im already working drawing out the front haha
and i am actually gonna ne going between the firewall and air cleaner.
i laid it out and saw that there is just enough clearance.
as for what car the strut bar was for, i dont know that. just went to the place and told them the length i needed and they brought out a couple and i measured them and picked the right one
the bar itself is 35" long, its a little long for how i want it, maybe 2" shorter would have worked great
