84 accord hatch newest project

finally got a new front bumper for my accord.
heres what it looked like before:


then i removed it:

heres the new bumper:


theres the tow hook that came with the bumper. i hated it so i ran and got a new better looking set:

both have matching serial numbers and rated to tow 17,xxx something pounds. so i think it'll work lol

Woah that's the first time I've seen that bumper painted and installed. Did it come painted or did you paint it to match? Nice work!

it came just black. i took it down to the same place i got my car painted and had them color match it.

Oh awesome. I have to give you a ton of credit for putting the money into making it look good and doing it up right! That's cool that you had the car painted. I was pretty amazed at how good it looked in it's original condition...

I believe that there's a rear bumper and sideskirts out there that compliment that front bumper as well.

yea. i bought it after it was sitting for 6 years. the roof was oxidized.
so i just had the car painted the oem color. but a little more metallic. and ive been trying so hard to find the sideskirts. i dont really know if i want a back bumper. i think it looks good as is

thanks man. yesterday one guy came up to me while i was washin it and said "wow, ive never seen one before, especially all fixed up"
i started laughing to myself cuz theres at least 5-6 in my town but all rusted and dented and torn up

well ive only taken it to the track once since ive had it. but i figured since i have to take the bumper off to put it on. might as well do it at the time. about to do an engine swap so ill prob be needing it after that. plus i think it looks good.

Those are crazy lookin! They look like smoked lights... Which ones did you buy? Are they projectors? Let us know how they work at night.

they are just the black projector lights. bought em off craigslist, changed bulbs to the silverstars. ill know how they are at night tonight. gotta go to my friends going away dinner. hes leavin for army boot camp tomorrow

well... bad news is, the black background doesnt make the light reflect enough, so anyone have any advice if i should replace low beams with old lights and keep the black projectors for the high beams??
