Congrats getting Legend, I like that car, too.
I have sister cars Rover 827 which has the same V6 engine made by Honda.
They are nice motor - in fact that block share the same dimension with V6 from NSX - but makes tapet noise like hell esp. when starting motor.
If so (I don't know anyone without though) use BP Magnatec oil (not sure if it exist in US) or similar which can cling on the surface of engine internal when engine is off.
Also, stick with Honda genuine oil filter that has lowest oil flow friction that will help the better oil supply to the head.
Since this tips from some Rover 800 owners site, the noise stopped like magic.
