so i was thinkign that i really need to go camping again this summer so i figured should get a buncha people up to Greenwater. its way out in the middle of nowhere past enumclaw. you can shoot, have fires, theres a river to play in, drinking, rallying!! (over 70 miles of Weyerhouser paved or gravel roads all througout the mt. ranier foothills
i dont really care when september may even be fine. but i figured a friday and saturday thinkg and mybe even stay another night and leave sunday...ideas?
Greenwater is fantastic. Camped up there a few times. Gets pretty fucking crowded when the weather is nice, but if you get up there on a Thursday you can usually grab one of the more private spots on the river.... We've been struggling to do the whole Pacific Northwest meet in I think 2 other threads. It's been tough to set a date and time... I'll keep my eyes on this thread and see what the rest of the interest is...

well i dont work fridays so i could get up there thursday night and find a big area for us no problem. and people could coem and go whenever they feel like between thursday night and sunday depending what goes on so if you have to work sunday or something you can take off early..or come late.... let me know what you think guys i really wanna do this!!
also i live in Hobart im about an hour form Greenwater so i can get up there pretty quick
Oh you live in Hobart. Where the cops always sit when I drive up Highway 18... Middle of bum fuck nowhere on a big long ass 4 lane road with no traffic... But the speed limit is 55. Yeah I know where that is.

im not sure on a date i was think the weekend of the 22-24th of august i will go up the 21st if anyone has friday off and plan on leaving sunday at around noon-1

I've got plans that weekend for sure. My summer weekends are pretty full up...
It's never easy to arrange a meet. I helped arrange one in Portland last year with Bobafett and I think 3 or 4 people showed up. One guy was a Prelude guy even. It's going to be especially hard to get people to commit to a whole weekend event.
Your best bet to meet might be to get in on the current Portland thread. Talks of karting, etc...
Funny thing is, if you go to the Bay Area, more people than expected will show up.

Okay so here's the deal. I'm going camping in Greenwater this weekend. For sure, I talked to a bunch of my friends and we thought it was a great idea. If someone can get up there early, it would be kick ass. My friend is going up Friday at about 3. He'll be in a big tan Ford Bronco goes by the name Josh. I'll be driving the 81 Accord hatch in, probably get up there around 5-6pm.
If someone can get up there even earlier, that would be sweet. We want to get the spots on the left as you're going in the main road, it's kind of a hike in to the site, but it's big and it's on the creek and should have lots of room for lots of people.

Uh, I don't know how to describe it very well, not a lot of landmarks... But I'll do my best. From what I can remember, there's an intersection as you're coming in, where there's a road with a bridge on the left. Just after that road, there are a series of parking spots kinda on the side of the road, on the left. There are probably 4 or 5 of them all the way up until you hit a 90 degree bend in the road.
Once you park in one of those little turn outs, there are trails down to some bitchen campsites right on the creek. The bigger the one you can get the better. I hope that makes sense.

I like these spots because usually they are far enough away from the road that nobody can see you, and they're nicely isolated and on the creek. Room for lots of tents as well... Weather is supposed to be great, in the 80s and maybe 90s. When might you be able to make it up there?
